Stass Allie VS Agen Kolar

MARTIAL ARTS
One of the most well respected swordmasters of the Order and one of of Master Windus most trusted allies, Agen Kolar was considered to be a match for the Sith lord Darth Sidious himself. Although this turned out to be clearly untrue, Kolar still remained a dangerous foe, being one of the few Jedi capable of absolutely curb stomping Quinlan Vos, even while trying to not seriously injure the wayward Jedi. Although his lightsaber form remains unknown, his strong, aggressive offense, plus his preference for physicals trikes and acrobatics makes me think he uses a combination of Ataru and Dejem So. Although most people believe Kolar was killed in seconds by Sidious due to a major difference in martial skill, I am actually of the opinion that Sidious's opening force scream stunned Kolar, leaving him defenseless. This, however, is just a theory.

Stass Allie has been criticized (mostly by fans) for her apparent lack of skill, despite being on the High council. And as much as I would like to disagree, I will admit that the primary reason she was on the Council was due to her healing and diplomatic skills, not her combat skills. Strangely, for someone whose death was prominently featured in Revenge of the Sith, there is very little information on Stass Allie in general, much less her combat skills. Although her Lightsaber form is, of course, unknown, I would guess it is either Nimen (due to it being the preferred form for diplomats) or Soresu, possibly Ataru, due to the popularity of those forms among the Clone wars era Jedi. Despite her reputation, Stass was still a competent warrior, surviving the battle of Geonosis and being assigned to patrol Saleucami.

Agen Kolar is the clear receiver of the first edge. He was a noted Swordmaster, has actually been involved in serious lightsaber duels, and has shown a great more degree of combat effectiveness in almost every situation with the blade.

FORCE POWERS
Although Master Kolar, by far and away, is primarily focused on beating the ever loving snot out of people, he has still proven himself to be a competent force wielder. He was particularity skilled with telekinesis, using it in suture with his blade work, and to great effect against large groups of enemy's. However, whether it was due to him being unable to match Sidious's speed or was unable to protect himself from the Force scream, his defeat at Sidious's hands shows a possible weakness against force attacks.

As previously mentioned, Stass Allie was a very skilled Force healer, heading up the division and working closely with Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee, suggesting a strong connection with it. Her other force powers, including her defenses, were somewhat underdeveloped, with her being unable to defend herself from a missile attack. All of this being said, in a one on one situation, Stass Allie would most likely just be bringing the standard Jedi fare of Telekinesis and self augmentation to battle.

Things are not looking good for Stass, as Kolar secures a second edge. Beating the crack out of people with telekinesis is much more combatively applicable then healing, and Stass showed a weakness in defending herself from Magnaguards, whereas Kolar showed a defensive weakness against Palpatine.

PHYSICAL SKILLS
Agen Kolar was a male Zabrak, roughly middle aged. Zabraks were noted for there horns and there incredible tolerance for physical pain. Agen Kolar in particular was known for his unarmed combat skills and physical abilities.

Stass Allie, unlike her aunt Adi Gallia, was a full blooded Tholothian. Her species does not have any particular differences from Humans beyond there distinctive headdresses. Stass Allie herself was not notably physically fast or strong.

Even if Agen Kolar did not have his natural Zabrak physique, he would still get the edge here, for having demonstrated a greater amount of physical strength and speed.

WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT
Agen Kolar, as a Jedi guardian, wielded a fairly standard lightsaber. However, it was known to have a dual phase function, allowing him to turn the blades color from green to blue, although once it was depicted as red.

Stass Allie used a Jedi lightsaber of very basic design. It appeared to be best suited for a strong, two handed grip, as Stass is almost always depicted holding it with both hands. It was powered by an emerald lightsaber crystal.

Neither the ability change blade colors or a two handed preference is really an edge. I declare Them equals in terms of weapons and equipment.

THE VERDICT
Okay, full disclosure: I came up with this battle literally half way through editing my last Versus video, before doing proper research. Now that I have...Yeah, this is THE most one sided versus video I have ever done, with the possible exception of Roron Corobb vs Zett Jukassa. Now, am I suggesting that Kolar is on par with Sidious or Windu?....NO eh bu wha....NO. I am, however, suggesting that if he had not been Sidious's first target he would have lasted just as long, if not longer, then Kit Fisto. After all, the only person who beat Vos as badly was Count Dooku, and many MANY criminals can attest to his skill. In comparison, Stass Allie simply isn't even close to skillful enough to defeat Kolar, or even hope to stalemate him for long. I declare Jedi Master Agen Kolar the winner.
