Tol Braga versus script

Martial Arts
Sadly, as with most Jedi of his age, we have no cannon conformation on his Lightsaber form. However, based off of his personality and his incredibly energy efficiency makes us believe he is a master of Soresu. Tol Braga had a reputation as one of the strongest Jedi of his age, a well deserved moniker. Master Braga faced off against most of the top tiers of his age, most famously dueling a member of the Dark Council for three days. He also faced off against the Hero of Tython, and although he was defeated, he was able to hold his own for a longer time than most. All in all, Master Braga is comparable to some of the best top tiers of the Clone Wars era.

Both of these are highly credible duelist, and this is a close call, and in the end, they are both high enough caliber duelists  that this battle will be decided by endurance, which is a different category. As such, we declare them evenly matched duelists.

Force Powers
Although he was by no means a slouch with either the blade or force powers, Master Bragas primary focus was on the more peaceful aspects of the Light side, even being referred to as the conscious of the Jedi order. Although this did have some use, such as allowing him to redeem many Sith lords and even throw off the Sith emperor's mind control, it's not really a combative power. That being said, Master Braga was still a powerful force user, catching even the Hero of Tython of guard with a powerful force push. It is also very likely that his ability to fight in a pitched lightsaber duel for days on end was a result of powerful self augmentation.

Physical Prowess
Tol Braga was a Kel Dor of unknown age, although he was likely at least middle aged. Kel Dors are fatally allergic to oxygen, forcing them to wear breath masks and goggles in oxygen rich atmospheres, providing there enemies with a obvious weak point to attack. They were also known to have brittle bones, making them much more likely to break limbs in combat. All that being said, Master Braga seems to have subverted this at least somewhat and added an extreme amount of endurance, taking part in a three day long lightsaber duel during the sacking of Coruscant.

 Weapons & Armaments
As with most Jedi of his age, Master Braga often wore a suit of Lightsaber resistant armor which, although not 100% effective, absorbed almost all minor hits. Master Bragas lightsaber followed the standard design of the time, being simple but ornate, adding no disadvantages, but no advantages either. Although he temporarily used a red crystal while fallen to the dark side, Master Braga's lightsaber generally carried a emerald blade.

For once, neither duelists rely on standard lightsabers only. That being said, Master Bragas armor will not save him from a fatal blow and we find it VERY hard to believe that Braga has no knowledge of Mauls weapon, as saber staffs were very common during his era. Sadly, even though both combatants are armend better than most, it is STILL a tie.

The Verdict
Well, we have spent enough time discussing the differences between these two, so lets get to the final verdict. Darth Maul, on order from Darth Sidious, arrives on Tython and finds a Meditating Tol Braga, recovering from Corellia. The Jedi master senses his presence, and draws his blade and orders the Sith assassin to surrender. Maul smiles and draws his own weapon, eager to fight such a high level Jedi master. The two begin a fierce lightsaber duel, matching each other blow for blow and driving each other across Tythons landscape, with Master Braga pleading for Maul to surrender the entire time. Eventually fed up with his inability to overcome the Jedi Master, Maul resorts to a powerful force push. However, Master Braga manages to dodge the blow and respond in kind, sending Maul flying. Standing over the fallen Sith, Master Braga proclaims "I was once like you, a mindless dark sider. I was redeemed, let me do the same for you!". Angered at the Jedi;s arrogance, Maul retrieves his blade and ignites both ends, reengaging the duel. However, the duel continues in its stalemated form, with neither combatant able to gain an advantage over the other. As he becomes more and more exhausted, Maul begins to consider the Jedi's words, something he would normally ignore or moke. Was the Jedi right? Were the Sith nothing more than mindless liars? Certainly they did not have much loyalty. How many times had his master betrayed him? Wasn't he being betrayed right now? Why on Coruscant had he been ordered to attack the Jedi's strong hold 3000 years in the past? And then it strikes him. He is no more than Sidious's errand boy, a simple tool to be tossed aside. Unfortunately for Mual, deep philosophical revelations and dueling do not mix. A younger Tol Braga would most likely spare the Sith assassin, but the more jaded post-Sith master takes the opening in Mauls defense and strikes quickly and fatally. Thus, we declare Master Tol Braga the victor.

Now of course, this is just our opinion and it is entirely possible that Maul could defeat Master Braga, but we give Braga seven victories out of ten. If you disagree, have a suggestion for a future match/collaboration, please leave it in the comments below. This is Hondo and Wolf Myth here, signing off!
